Retired longtime SUMMITMEDIA Nation WKHK (K95)/RICHMOND, VA morning character JIM LEONARD “CATFISH” METZGER died on MARCH sixth on the age of 79. Earlier than coming to RICHMOND, he was an air character in TEXAS, OHIO and PENNSYLVANIA, in response to native TV station WTVR (6 NEWS RICHMOND).
WKHK shared on its FACEBOOK web page YESTERDAY (3/7), “Please preserve his household in your ideas and prayers. CATFISH will at all times be part of K95! We shall be remembering him this afternoon and without end.”
A memorial service shall be held on FRIDAY (3/10) at 3p (ET) at J.T. MORRISS & SON – CHESTER CHAPEL. In lieu of followers, the household has requested contributions in his honor made to the TUNNEL TO TOWERS FOUNDATION here.
