Fen – Debut New Single

East Anglian black metallers Fen launch the epic and always shape-shifting observe “Fact Is Futility” because the second single, taken from their subsequent studio document Monuments To Absence, which is slated for launch on July 7, 2023.

“The title says all of it: the hunt for fact is a futile one and even when introduced with self-evident realities, our species will violently reject something that contradicts enshrined dogma and the delicate beliefs to which many desperately nail their sense of identification to”, mastermind Frank “The Watcher” Allain muses. “Historical past has proven again and again that the purveyors of information, the seekers of understanding, and people who problem standard knowledge are persecuted and stigmatised. On the very core of most of us lurks the kernel of 1 precise fact that many people dare not even admit to ourselves: we don’t want to know the basic truths of ourselves and our world. We are not looking for our cosseted egos and comfy security blankets to be disturbed in any method – even by the revelations of enlightenment. In opposition to such cemented defence, what’s actual fact if nothing however futility? Musically, this tune is a real Fen ‘journey’.
