MusicRow.com broke information TODAY (6/2) that RACHEL FONTENOT has departed NASHVILLE-based startup label LEO33 simply two months after it was introduced. FONTENOT, together with KATIE DEAN, was one of many founding executives of the corporate (NET NEWS 4/5).
The label is backed by world music firms FIREBIRD MUSIC and RED LIGHT VENTURES. FONTENOT, a former VP/Advertising and marketing & Artist Improvement at UMG NASHVILLE, was to have dealt with its advertising and marketing and operations.
Previous to becoming a member of UMG, FONTENOT was Dir./Advertising and marketing at SONY BMG (now SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE) and, later, headed her personal consulting agency, which she launched in 2017. She has not but replied to ALL ACCESS’ request for affirmation of her departure.
