In what he stated “will be the worst stored secret in Bluegrass,” longtime SIRISXM “Bluegrass Junction” PD KYLE CANTRELL has revealed plans to launch a 24/7, free, on-line radio station, to be known as BanjoRadio. He shared the information in a FACEBOOK Reside on MONDAY (6/12). Watch it here.
CANTRELL stated he desires the station to be “a house base for individuals who love Bluegrass music and who admire the way in which we have all the time introduced it … I simply wish to create a spot so that you can come and benefit from the music, and maybe provide another for you that is slightly completely different.”
The 2019 COUNTRY RADIO HALL OF FAME inductee joined SIRIUSXM in 2002, and departed in a spherical of firm layoffs in MARCH. Previous to SIRIUSXM, he programmed RYMAN HOSPITALITY Nation WSM-A/NASHVILLE for 20 years, and was a GRAND OLE OPRY announcer throughout that point as effectively.
