Fear Factory parted methods with unique vocalist Burton C. Bell in 2020 and the break up wasn’t precisely amicable. Bell has made it clear that he is not keeping up with his former bandmates anymore, although he does plan on performing Fear Factory songs live when he goes out on a solo tour finally.
Fear Factory has since moved on and employed vocalist Milo Silvestro. Which is nice, as a result of Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares mentioned he felt Bell was phoning in his performances towards the top of his time with the band anyway. Cazares mentioned in an interview with Brutal Planet Journal that Bell was “phoning issues in” and that the “band was happening for a short time” earlier than Silvestro got here in.
“Sure and no. I’ve at all times had the fireplace. I do not want anyone to carry me new power, however it does really feel good when you could have anyone who can match the power that you’ve got. As a result of for some time there, I simply felt that — and I am talking off the cuff right here — that Burton C. Bell was simply form of phoning issues in; he was simply form of going via the motions, and it simply felt like he did not wanna be there.
“And so it was form of missing. The band was happening for a short time. And as quickly as Milo got here in, it was a breath of contemporary air to play with anyone who needed to be there. And that felt actually good. And, in fact, all of the trolls are gonna come after me for saying that, however it’s what it’s. I imply, I lived via it. I used to be there.”
Cazares later reiterated that Silvestro has breathed new life into the band, saying “Folks ask me the identical query that you’ve got: Did [Milo] carry new power? Did he carry new life into the band? Sure, he did, as a result of, like I mentioned, he is matching my power that I’ve for this band.
“You’ve got gotta bear in mind: I reside, breathe, die Fear Factory. I reside, breathe and die fucking metallic and all totally different types of it. I reside for this shit. I adore it. And that is why I am nonetheless right here.”
