After years of speaking about, Kerry King‘s new band is lastly coming to fruition! King‘s new band – seemingly titled Kerry King – has simply introduced their first-ever show at Welcome To Rockville 2024, although that is not all. King‘s new band has unveiled their emblem, which was shared by King drummer (and former Slayer drummer) Paul Bostaph.
King had beforehand spoken about Bostaph being in his solo band, however now we all know it is truly occurring for actual. King and Bostaph labored collectively in Slayer for a lot of the years between 1992 and 2001, after which once more between 2013 and the top of Slayer in 2019. King‘s band can also be rumored to have Slayer (and Exodus) guitarist Gary Holt within the fold, in addition to Pantera vocalist Phil Anselmo, although neither one has ever been confirmed.
In a 2022 interview, King stated concerning the mission “You understand me, so you already know what it is going to sound like. I performed this new track for a buddy, and I stated to him, ‘If there’s something I’ve written in the previous couple of years that feels like Slayer, it is this.’ And he stated, ‘That feels like you may have pulled it off of any Slayer document.’ I truly made that riff up backstage at a Slayer present. We had been strolling to the stage and I bought my telephone out and recorded it so I would not neglect it.”
