In an interview with Total Guitar, Hammett addressed the similarities, saying: “That is actually humorous [that fans noticed], as a result of we known as that riff ‘The Batman Riff’, and I do know precisely what you might be speaking about.” If solely Adam West have been nonetheless alive… perhaps he may’ve guested on the music?
Hammett then spoke a bit of extra about drawing influences from lots of completely different locations (apparently together with TV exhibits), saying: “One factor I observed from watching AC/DC at Energy Journey is that AC/DC are literally a bunch of various bands. AC/DC is a fucking boogie-woogie blues bar band… a rock band… a hard-rock band… a heavy steel band. They’re all these varieties of bands rolled into one. It goes from ‘Child, please do not go’ to fuckin’ Again In Black.”
