Abrams has signed to Blues Funeral Recordings and is about to launch their new file Blue Metropolis on Could 24. The band is now streaming the debut single “Fireplace Waltz” alongside a music video directed by Alex Tempo.
“I did not assume this music would make the file, but it turned out actually nice within the studio, with a few of my favourite guitar tones on the album,” mentioned Abrams guitarist and vocalist Zachary Amster. “The second verse is a standout to me, with its ethereal trippy guitar lead and memorable vocal melody singing ‘haunted idols’. After we added this to the music, it positively made it a game-changer. Moreover, the rock-out jam within the odd time signature of 5 is a enjoyable half to play!”
Blue Metropolis was recorded and produced by Kurt Ballou (Converge, High On Fire, Torche, Chelsea Wolfe) at GodCity Studio. On the file, Amster commented: “The songs on Blue Metropolis take care of the sensation of being trapped in a spot of consolation and normality.
“The place we might actually wish to pack up and check out something new; however the scare of change is holding us again for what is named routine. The blue metropolis is a metaphor, for it is a chilly however acquainted place that retains us imprisoned from any drastically new expertise. A consolation within the acquainted, a concern of the unknown.”
Pre-orders for Blue Metropolis are available here and here on Bandcamp.
