Cemetery Skyline is a brand new band, comprised of members of European steel royalty: Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity, The Halo Effect, Grand Cadaver) on vocals, Markus Vanhala (Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum, I Am The Night time Horde) on guitars, Santeri Kallio (Amorphis) on keys, Victor Brandt (Dimmu Borgir, Witchery, ex-Entombed, ex-Satyricon) on bass and Vesa Ranta (Sentenced, The Abbey) behind the drumkit.
Their first foray into music is their debut single “Violent Storm” which has been launched through Century Media, and could be streamed above.
“Cemetery Skyline. A band crawling out from the Scandinavian nightless nights. Fashioned someplace in time in 2020, from the concept to create ageless darkish music with respect to our technology’s largest influencers,” states the band.
“This Nordic collaboration was born with the plan to create one thing that has not been on the market earlier than, one thing completely different from all of the music the band members have ever performed. A singular mixture of heavy riffs and feelings packed in a darkish and deep inventive context. You could name it gothic rock, darkish rock, and even heavy steel. We simply name it Nordic Gothic.”
Elaborating on the one, the collective states: “This music is very impressed by the late nightly empty roads of Gothenburg and their determined tales of loneliness and getting misplaced to the distinctive stunning distress and sorrow of Nordic gothic.
