Buzz Osborne on the album: “The way in which we approached Tarantula Coronary heart was completely different than some other Melvins album. I had Dale and Roy Mayorga are available and play together with Steven and I to some riffs, then I took these classes and found out what components would work and wrote new music to suit. This is not a studio method we have ever taken. Normally we’ve the songs written BEFORE we begin recording!”
Drummer Dale Crover provides: “Nearly all of Tarantula Coronary heart has twin drum components. Roy is an incredible drummer. We’d focus on what we might do sample sensible, then we might simply go for it. Improvising riffs and buying and selling off on drum fills.”
