Whereas we look ahead to a brand new Alcest report, the band has introduced they’re reissuing their 2012 album Les Voyages de l’âme in quite a lot of codecs. They embody:
- A hardcover artbook version, that includes a 60-page hardcover artbook that features the CD with two bonus reside tracks, a preface by Neige, liner notes by Roadburn Competition mastermind Walter Hoeijmakers, translations of the French lyrics into English, pictures, art work sketches and photographs from the Les Voyages de l’âme period.
- Hologram vinyl, that includes a handcrafted, gold-framed hologram vinyl LP that displays mild in all colors of the rainbow, which is strictly restricted to 100 hand-numbered copies.
- Vinyl image disc, which is what you suppose it’s.
The reissues of Les Voyages de l’âme shall be out on April 28. Pre-orders are available here. Les Voyages de l’âme was recorded by Markus Inventory at Klangschmiede Studio E, Mellrichstadt, and blended and mastered by Neb Xort. The album was given cowl artwork by Fursy Teyssier, designed by Valnoir, and options photographs from Andy Julia.
As for brand spanking new Alcest, all we all know is that the band completed writing the follow-up to their 2019 album Non secular Intuition final 12 months.
“I simply completed writing the music of our subsequent album,” mentioned frontman Neige. “It took me some time however I’m completely happy and it’s gonna be a very emotional one I believe. Now able to play these new songs with [drummer] Winterhalter and begin working collectively on pre-productions.”
