Jason Newsted‘s short-lived metallic band Newsted is making a quick comeback dwell on Might 20 at Revolution Reside in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In an interview with Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, Jason defined that the reunion stemmed from taking part in a present with The Chophouse Band that includes two extra members of Newsted outdoors himself.

“And it was an epiphanous sort of journey — all people smiling at one another and blissful that we’re nonetheless alive and every part. So it is actually largely for feeling alive and marking the tenth anniversary [of the formation of the band] and being brothers once more.”
Jason then clarified that the Newsted present is just a one-off to mark a decade of the band’s solely album, their 2013 debut Heavy Metallic Music. As for the way forward for Newsted, Jason merely states that you just by no means know what would possibly occur after that present, and that he is open to extra if every part feels good.
“I’ve lived in Florida for 25 years. I’ve solely ever completed the acoustic stuff as any sort of public efficiency… So that is the primary time that I reached out to anyone within the circles of people who have come to the artwork reveals and stuff like that. Now he is up in West Palm for a short while — Humberto Perez — and he is a very good participant. [Former Newsted guitarist] Mike Mushok cannot be in it ‘trigger Staind‘s received their plate full proper now and he is doing his factor.
“It’s a one-off factor for enjoyable to mark the time, to mark the date, to point out that we’re alive, and whoever is fortunate sufficient to be there, that’s the deal proper there.
“I like the thought of a potential reissue or one thing of the Heavy Metallic Music LP, authentic LP, for the ten-year factor, presumably.
