Canadian progressive metallic royalty Voivod reunited with former bassist Jason Newsted, additionally of Metallica fame, when the band introduced the bassist on stage to carry out two songs on Might 16 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Voivod with Newsted carried out two songs, “Insurgent Robotic” and “Voivod.”
Newsted joined Voivod in 2002 after leaving Metallica the 12 months prior. He remained with the progressive metallic outfit till 2008.
