State broadcasters’ associations in all 50 states, the DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, and PUERTO RICO have signed a decision supporting the “AM Radio for Each Automobile Act” (H.R. 3413 and S. 1669), the invoice that may direct the Secretary of Transportation to make sure that AM radio is obtainable as free customary gear in all autos.
The decision notes that greater than 80 million People take heed to the roughly 4,500 AM stations within the nation and that AM is a part of the Emergency Alert System as the vast majority of Major Entry Factors, and provides that “eradicating AM radio from autos ignores the vital security advantages of AM radio and would deprive many listeners of this life-saving emergency data and put public security in danger.”
The HOUSE COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY SUBCOMMITTEE will probably be holding a listening to, “Hear Right here: Why People Worth AM Radio,” on TUESDAY (6/6).
