Godthrymm – Second Full Length Due In August

British epic doom metallers Godthrymm (that includes members as soon as concerned in such luminaries as My Dying Bride, Anathema, Vallenfyre, and Solstice) return with their new album, Distortions, set for launch on August 18th by way of Profound Lore Information. Distortions is the second a part of Glencross’ ‘Visions’ trilogy. The third half, Projections, is already within the works. To style a bit of the upcoming new music effort, give a spin to the music “Echoes”.

Recorded between The Nave Music Studio, Sasquatch Music Studio, and The Glencross Residence at varied factors in 2022. Combined by Andy Hawkins. Produced by Andy Hawkins and Hamish Glencross. Mastered by Mark Midgley at Northern Mastering Firm.

“I completely wished to create a way more layered and sophisticated association within the sound,” says Godthrymm‘s Hamish Glencross. “Completely amping up the contrasts to the acute – the sunshine shines brighter, and the darker depths are huge trenches. There’s much more concord and melancholy for a lot of it, but additionally some slab-heavy riffing, too. We wished a complete development within the manufacturing and extra class and readability within the sound, versus Reflections, which may get fairly dense in tone.”
