NEIL YOUNG will recreate historical past when he performs on the famed LOS ANGELES night time membership THE ROXY THEATER on SEPTEMBER Twentieth, marking the venerable venue’s fiftieth anniversary.
YOUNG performed on the SUNSET STRIP landmark for its opening in 1973, when it was opened by LOU ADLER, DAVID GEFFEN, longtime NEIL supervisor ELLIOT ROBERTS and BILL GRAHAM.
The WEST HOLLYWOOD mainstay initially performed house to YOUNG billed as CRAZY HORSE. Within the months that adopted its opening, the area held reveals that includes GENESIS with PETER GABRIEL. For a 12 months, it hosted the unique model of “Rocky Horror Image Present” with TIM CURRY. YOUNG launched an album, “Roxy: Tonight’s The Night time Stay,” that includes his backing band, the SANTA MONICA FLYERS, and recorded on SEPTEMBER Twentieth–Twenty second, 1973, with classics like “Tonight’s The Night time,” “Stroll On,” and lots of others.
