Crosses, the venture that includes Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno and Far‘s Shaun Lopez, launched their debut album in 2014 after which went silent for some time.
Crosses finally resurfaced with two covers in 2020 and 2021, adopted by a brand new EP and a handful of singles in 2022. Crosses seems to be maintaining that momentum as they’ve simply posted a mysterious teaser to their Twitter. Given it regarded like Crosses was in the studio earlier this year, they usually’ve acquired their first show since 2014 booked for November, new materials will surely make sense.
And in the event you’re new to Crosses, perhaps given “Vivien” a spin – it is the track Moreno feels is the best point of entry.
“I believe there’s a purpose why we selected that track as the primary single… coming again. I do know we had the Initiation/Safety single that sort of got here out beneath the radar. However I simply really feel like [‘Vivien’] encompasses, within the best phrases, what the venture consists of — beat-wise, tempo-wise.
“It sort of relies upon who I’m taking part in it for. I really feel like Crosses lends itself to catering to totally different people who find themselves in several moods. There [are] some fairly sullen tracks, there’re some extra aggressive tracks, extra romantic tracks. So it sort of is determined by what temper I’m attempting to convey.”
