Lee acknowledged that the tune’s message of superficiality stemmed from her personal experiences within the highlight. “‘All people’s Idiot’ began off from watching them and me being like, ‘Why are you idolizing one thing that is faux?'” she defined. “I do not like the way in which that it is phrased.”
